Roger De Coster's works Kayaba rear shocks
Here is a genuine Roger De Coster matched set of works KYB rear shocks with very little to no use. These were from his Grand Prix Suzuki's. It would be like owning Babe Ruth's bat.
Description: These are a matched set with ID numbers stamped in them in consecutive order - see photos. Each shock is 15 1/2 inches long center to center and has a billet aluminum reservoir that has been anodized a goldish green and has been painted black. Roger ran them painted and unpainted. They are rebuildable and the nitrogen pressure can be adjusted at the top. Only the works bikes had these features. Also, notice the grooves in the shock bodies that allow for different spring pre-load. They are lightweight and the hoses going from the shock to the reservoir are in excellent condition. The spring seats top and bottom are hand machined from billet aluminum. These shocks are absolutely mint condition and have excellent damping. The shocks are 100% the Real Deal.
These were specifically built for Roger during the height of the suspension revolution. Engineers were burning the midnight lamp trying to keep ahead of the monoshocks, other manufacturers at a time where things were changing weekly. I would think these shocks would be used as memorabilia in someone's man-cave or office. Our you can fit them to your restored bike or even ride with them. What a conversation piece and just holding something from one of the greatest riders in history that was part of the long travel revolution that is without a doubt the most celebrated era in motocross. This is a A+++ investment too and something you can hold in your hands.
